Studio Yuga Labs replace the logo of its collection of non-fungible tokens (NFT) Bored Ape Kennel Club (BAKC) after calling the copy of the Easy Drawing Guides image.

Saw the claims today about the BAKC logo. This was news to us and we’re still investigating the situation. Have reached out to the freelancer we hired for that design and Easy Drawing Guides. We’ll be changing the logo and updating it on our site / ask marketplaces to change as… https://t.co/OwtflDXehz

“We will replace the logo, update it on our website and ask for a marketplace about the change. This collection from the very cob was assigned to the collection of cats for charity, and I write that BAKC collected over $ 1 million for the creatures, ”wrote Yuga Labs contributor Greg Solano.

Behind the yoga words, above the creations of the BAKC logo, a freelancer worked. The studio has turned to the new Easy Drawing Guides for a solution to mental health problems. The investigation of the incident is ongoing.

Bro @BoredApeYC @yugalabs what a fucking joke bahahahahaha you got some explaining to do. 4/5/21 and your kennels came out 6/21 and you went and trademarked this skull. Are you guys ok or have you bumped your heads? https://t.co/HiLFdbnFL5 pic.twitter.com/FJigzJgBr8

Context. Previously, the artist Jdotcolombo paid tribute to those that the BAKC logo is similar to the cover art of the skull painting in Easy Drawing Guides, as they published images in April 2021, while BAKC was published in black of the same year. Representatives of Easy Drawing Guides stated that Yuga Labs does not have the rights to reproduce this image. The investigation of the incident is ongoing.
