MicroBT has released 3 new machines of the Whatsminer series for bitcoin mining at once: M53S++, M50S++ and M56S++.
The WhatsMiner M50S++ is a fairly standard air-cooled ASIC. It delivers 150 TX / s, and its efficiency is 22 J / TH.
The second model M53S++ is water-cooled. Its power reaches 320 TX / s. This is the most productive device in this line. The efficiency is the same as in the previous model – 22 J / Tx.
Finally, the third novelty M56S++ is suitable for farms with immersive cooling. It has a power of 230 Tx/s and the same efficiency of 22 J/Tx.
The presentation was made at the Bitcoin 2023 conference in Miami Beach. It was hosted by MicroBT CEO Zuohing Yang.
First, he showed a film about the energy crisis, alternative energy and how bitcoin can solve such a problem. The authors of the video ask the question: “What is more important, mining or survival?”
In response, the CEO of MicroBT said that they never stop developing the best energy solutions for mining. He emphasized that the new line has high efficiency and low noise level. And the resulting heat can be used for space heating and industrial processes.
