Republican Senator from Texas (USA) Ted Cruz, during his speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), noted the decentralization of bitcoin.
One of the reasons I’m bullish on #Bitcoin is because it’s decentralized.
The Left hates Bitcoin because they can’t control it. #CPAC2022 pic.twitter.com/D4PYNacNBZ

The politician emphasized that no one is able to control the first cryptocurrency. As an example, he cited the situation in Canada, where, due to protests, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau applied the Emergency Law.
The country’s authorities ordered banks, as well as crypto-exchanges and custodial services, to freeze accounts that received donations in support of the protesters.
The team behind the Nunchuck non-custodial wallet received a similar order. She invited the government to become familiar with the concept of non-custodial wallets and private keys. Cruz called her answer “impressive” and read it during a speech at CPAC. He also recalled the ban on cryptocurrencies in China.
Recall that Cynthia Lummis, representing Wyoming in the US Senate, suggested that the Fed send part of its foreign exchange reserves to buy digital gold.
