- Republican Vivek Ramaswami is a supporter of cryptocurrencies
- He even accepts bitcoin donations for his campaign.
Republican U.S. presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy updated its political program. He added new rules that will reduce taxation for mining firms.
According to the politician, such a law will bring more profit to the country’s budget in the long run:
“A thriving bitcoin universe should really give me more power to do what I want to do as President of the United States, which is to stabilize the dollar as a unit of measure and return the Federal Reserve to its place with its only mandate.”
These statements were made in the context of recent comments by Joe Biden. Recall that the current president threatened crypto traders to “remove tax loopholes.”
At the moment, several US presidential candidates have already declared their loyalty to cryptocurrencies. They are Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (Democrat and nephew of John F. Kennedy), as well as Republicans Ron DeSantis and Vivek Ramaswamy.
Kennedy said last week that his administration would support the freedom of bitcoin and crypto payments. In addition, the politician will allow individuals to manage their bitcoin wallets, nodes, etc. The future presidential administration will retain only the minimum necessary control over the industry to prevent money laundering.
