The Uniswap decentralized exchange team has deployed the third version of the protocol on the BNB Chain network.

“Like Polygon and Arbitrum, BNB Chain typically offers faster and cheaper transactions than Ethereum, which opens up Uniswap to a wider audience,” the post reads.
In February 2023, the decentralized exchange community approved Plasma Labs’ proposal to launch the third version of the protocol on the BNB Chain blockchain. More than 65% of the voting participants spoke in his favor, 33.57% – against.
Among the latter was the venture capital company Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), which used all 15 million tokens available to it for this.
The community has chosen the Wormhole app as the cross-chain bridge between Ethereum and BNB Chain. Second place went to the LayerZero project, which a16z invested in in March 2022.
Recall that the founder and CEO of the Li Finance DEX aggregator, Philipp Centner, criticized Uniswap’s decision to launch a protocol on BNB Chain using only one cross-chain bridge.
