The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Criminal Investigation Division announced a collaboration with Ukrainian law enforcement and chainalysis analytics company to track down Russians evading sanctions using cryptocurrencies. This was reported Bloomberg.

According to the agency, the exchange of information between the United States and Ukraine makes it possible to more thoroughly identify cases of concealment of digital assets by the Russian Federation.

The IRS is sponsoring Ukrainian investigators’ access to the Chainalysis tool, which helps analyze cryptocurrency transactions. It also offers online and offline classes for law enforcement to improve their skills in blockchain analysis.
