The team of the supplier of hardware wallets for storing crypto assets – Trezor – analyzed a security incident that occurred on January 17, 2024, which resulted in “unauthorized access to a third-party support portal.”
The breach has implications for 66,000 customers who have interacted with Trezor support since December 2021, the statement said.
“Our internal audit of this incident indicates potential access to contact information such as email, first and last name,” the statement said.
The team assured that customers' digital assets had not been compromised in any way, but urged “to be vigilant” in the event of a potential phishing attack.
In addition, Trezor emphasized that contact information can be disclosed and is at risk of a phishing attack. An email was sent to all 66,000 users warning them of the extent of the incident.
Let us remind you that Trezor previously added support for Solana and SPL tokens to its devices.
