The White House will create international standards for DLT technologies

United States presidential administration published national standards strategy in eight technology sectors that will have a significant economic impact in the near future.

Among them:

• digital identity infrastructure and distributed ledger technologies;
• semiconductors and microelectronics;
• artificial intelligence and machine learning;
• biotechnology;
• positioning, navigation and synchronization services;
• production and storage of clean energy;
• quantum information technologies.

The strategy assumes that DLT technologies will be widely used in key sectors of the economy. In particular, we are talking about their application in intelligent communities, the Internet of things, as well as in the creation of functions and services based on cybersecurity and privacy.

Recall that in January, the White House called on Congress to “intensify efforts” in terms of oversight of the digital asset market.
