U.S. Senate Select Committee to Investigate the January 6, 2021 Capitol Hill Riots called for the testimony of two far-right activists Nicholas Fuentes and Patrick Casey. The latter were funded in bitcoin, according to Chainalysis.
“The Special Committee is looking for facts about the planning, coordination and financing of events that preceded the violent attack on democracy. We believe that the persons we have subpoenaed have information relevant to these matters. We expect them to cooperate with us,” said committee chairman Benny Thompson.
On January 6, Trump supporters broke into the Capitol, where Congress was confirming the results of the presidential election.
According to Chainalysis, a month before the riots, an unknown French blogger transferred 28.15 BTC to the participants in the assault. Fuentes received the most (13.5 BTC) – during the protests, he performed on the territory adjacent to the Capitol, analysts said.
V agenda Fuentes contains a direct link to this donation:
“Less than a month before the attack on the Capitol, you reportedly received a large donation of over $250,000 in bitcoin. FBI is scrutinizing this transfer to see if the money was related to the incident or otherwise used to fund illegal activities.”
Similar wording is found in agenda Casey.
Recall that in February 2021, representatives of the US Congress demanded an explanation from the founder of Tron, Justin Sun, regarding content moderation on the DLive streaming platform. According to legislators, the service was used to spread extremist information.
