The department clarified that the legislation distinguishes between the consumption of electricity by citizens for their own household needs and in order to carry out entrepreneurial activities.
At the same time, the business tariff can be applied not only for large platforms, but also for individuals mining cryptocurrencies for profit.
“The existing norms do not exclude the possibility of identifying consumption in a residential building for commercial activities and settlements with such a consumer at prices set for business entities,” the department added.
We will remind, on the eve of the Governor of the Irkutsk region Igor Kobzev expressed his readiness to provide sites for industrial mining. This, he said, will reduce the load on the electricity grid and, at the same time, will require an increase in electricity tariffs.
The Ministry of Energy announced the need to differentiate tariffs for miners from the rest of the population back in October.
