On Sunday, June 4, a new version of the Ordinals protocol was released – 0.6.0. The patch is designed to solve the problem of invalid and unrecognized inscriptions, of which there are more than 71 thousand.
“A new version of ord (0.6.0) has just been released, which implements the first steps in recognizing a large number of types of inscriptions (cursed inscriptions). Additionally, you will now be able to pass RPC credentials through command line flags, configurations, or environment variables.” declared member of the team with the nickname “raph”.

Prior to that, in April, the creator of the protocol, Casey Rodarmor, became interested in the problem. The solution turned out to be quite simple, but effective. The update sets a new block activation height for various label types, making most of them readable.
As soon as the sites where the “ordinals” are indexed are updated to the new version, users will be able to trade them. This will additionally introduce more than 70 thousand tokens into the turnover.
