Leading the investigation against Do Kwon, South Korean prosecutor Dan Sung-han called for the extradition of the CEO of Terraform Labs (TFL) to South Korea. This is reported WSJ.

“Given the nature of the incident, we believe that investigating the case in South Korea would be the most effective way to achieve justice for investors,” Dan Sung-han said.

Most of Do Kwon’s TFL-related evidence and key associates are located in South Korea, he said. Most of the crimes he is accused of were committed there, the prosecutor added.

Do Kwon is also being extradited to the United States, where he has been charged with fraud by the Securities and Exchange Commission and the New York federal prosecutor’s office.

The procedure for the issuance of the TFL CEO will begin after the Montenegrin authorities complete the trial in the case of forgery. According to them, at the end of March, Do Kwon tried to fly from Podgorica airport to Dubai, but he was arrested by the local police.

Recall that in September 2022, South Korea issued an arrest warrant for Do Kwon and five other TFL employees on charges including violations of capital markets laws.
