In an attempt to “upgrade the quality” of new NFT projects, the Solana Foundation initiated the competition for emerging digital artists.

As part of the NFT Showdown, authors must submit their business ideas and developments for collections of non-fungible tokens that create “real value” for the fashion, entertainment and gaming industries.

“The NFT Showdown is designed to encourage a change in approach to business planning before launching a collection. Projects must consider what it will take to achieve long-term success as an NFT brand,” said Austin Federa, head of strategy at the Solana Foundation.

Applications open June 10th. The company will select ten winners who will receive recommendations from Solana.

The best projects will be consulted by leading experts in the field of promotion of non-fungible tokens on how to achieve “long-term success”.

Earlier, Solana developers introduced state compression technology, which significantly reduces the costs of on-chain operations, including the creation of NFTs.

Recall that in April, the Helium wireless network completed the transition to the Solana blockchain, within which it created almost 1 million non-fungible tokens.
