For users, everything is organized in the address bar: you need to select the desired wallet directly using the Wallet Selector function.
After this update, the process of switching between applications when exchanging tokens or transactions with dapps is automated.
“We created Wallet Selector based on user feedback. This saves them a lot of trouble, as they no longer need to constantly go into settings or switch between competing wallet extensions,” Tomasz Stawarz, CTO of Opera, said.
The developers called this browser update “one of the most significant” in the history of the product.
In addition, the new version of the browser received enhanced user protection against hacking and phishing.
Opera Crypto Browser has also allowed human-readable wallet handles, including email addresses and ENS domains.
A new section has appeared in the Crypto Corner information block – Hot Tweets. The section includes the latest popular tweets about cryptocurrencies.
The PancakeSwap DeFi app powered by BNB Chain has been implemented in the new version of the browser, making it easier to trade tokens directly from a wallet. This update “broke Web3 one step closer to serving users familiar from Web2 on the eve of The Merge on Ethereum.”
“The upcoming merger is the most important technological update in the history of cryptocurrencies, which will move Ethereum from Proof-of-Work to Proof-of-Stake. This will make the blockchain more scalable, secure, resilient and ready for widespread use,” wrote Susie Butt, head of the crypto ecosystem at Opera.
The company has also updated the mobile version of Crypto Browser, which has changed navigation and added a private mode.
