
Emin Gün Sirer, head of Avalanche blockchain company Ava Labs, in a podcast Decrypt said the collapse of FTX has damaged the reputation of the entire digital asset industry.
“Inflicted by Sam [Бэнкманом-Фридом] the damage is immeasurable. All the goodwill that we have accumulated over many, many years of hard work is just usurped by some guy who comes and plays a genius, ”he explained.
According to Gun Sirer, he saw the industry grow “from nothing” into what it is today. The thought of Bankman-Freed’s damage “keeps him up at night.” But the CEO of Ava Labs was able to find positive moments in what happened.
“If we gave Sam a couple more years on the runway, that would [крах FTX] it would be much worse,” Gün Sirer explained.
