Bestselling author of Rich Dad Poor Dad and entrepreneur Robert Kiyosaki compared CBDC in the US to a character in George Orwell’s 1984 novel and called for investment in the first cryptocurrency.

“In his book 1984, George Orwell warned, “Big Brother is watching.” CBDC [президента США Джо] Biden is Big Brother,” Kiyosaki wrote.
He called for buying “more gold, silver and bitcoin.”
The idea of launching a digital dollar is also criticized by politicians. In February, Congressman Tom Emmer introduced a bill to protect “financial privacy” when using the central bank’s digital currency.
He later stated that the CBDC technology offended American values and could promote “financial control” over citizens.
In April, Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz called the launch of a digital dollar “extremely dangerous” for society, as the government would have access to every transaction. At the same time, he praised bitcoin and spoke about his investments in the asset.
Recall that in September 2022, Kiyosaki called for investing in digital assets in anticipation of the economic crisis.
In the spring of 2023, an investor called bitcoin “people’s money” and predicted its price to rise to $100,000.
