- These statistics are provided by CoinGecko.
- The most popular token here is SHIB
- The top five also includes India, UK, Philippines and Nigeria.
Last week, the analytical portal CoinGecko published a new report. It contains countries where meme-coins are most popular. The United States tops the list.
For this country account for 23.58% of the total memecoin market. In second place is India (20.31%), in third – Great Britain (16.35%). It is noteworthy that this is the only European country that made the list at all.
Rounding out the top five are the Philippines and Nigeria. The last country in the top 10 is Morocco, which accounts for just over 1% of the total market.
Equally interesting is the spread of assets. For example, in the US, SHIB (60.7%) remains the most popular meme-coin, PEPE (11.8%) is in second place, and BONK is in third.
In India, the situation is somewhat different. The list of the most popular meme-coins is headed by SHIB (55.8%). But in second place is, unexpectedly, Baby DOGE with a share of 29.9%.
Popular recently, PEPE is at the top of the list in only one country – Canada. Recall that the capitalization of the asset has already exceeded $1 billion.
But in the Philippines, the FLOKI token is the most popular. It accounts for a share of 26.7%. It is noteworthy that since the beginning of the year, the asset has grown in price by more than 300%.
Interestingly, less “hyped” coins are popular in the Philippines and Nigeria. These are, for example, ArbDoge AI and Dogelon Mars.
