“We expect a sharp increase in the volume of stablecoins and digital currencies of central banks in circulation thanks to the Chinese CBDC program,” said Gautam Chhugani, an analyst at the firm.
Also, according to him, income farming opportunities in “decentralized markets” will compete with bank deposits “as an investment or savings tool.”
Chkhugani recognized the problem of regulatory uncertainty. He is convinced that the process will be successful only if “politicians appreciate the benefits of blockchains” and understand the role of crypto tokens in decentralized systems.
Otherwise, “rules will negate the benefits of tokenization.”
Earlier, Bernstein analysts noted a decrease in the correlation of cryptocurrencies with the US stock market.
