Polygon co-founder Sandeep Nilewal went on Reddit to answer a bunch of questions and share optimism about the future of cryptocurrencies in the gaming sector.
The businessman highlighted the significant success of the Reddit platform itself. Now there are more than 9 million owners of collectible avatars. They are created in the Polygon network.
“Reddit is the only major tech company to have ‘cracked the NFT code'”Neilwal said.
Recall that the social media platform released NFTs in the form of “collectible avatars” on Polygon last summer. They gave away a lot of tokens for free to their dedicated users. Then there were early sales where NFTs could be bought for up to $100. But in the secondary market, such tokens were already sold for hundreds of dollars.
Interestingly, thanks to the Reddit collection, the number of cryptocurrency users has increased significantly. In the first 3 months, they attracted 3 million users. In 9 months, this number exceeded 9 million.
Niallwal shared his views on how NFT Reddit could be developed further. He suggests that the company create its own marketplace, as well as a launchpad for digital artists. In this way, the brand will increase collection revenue and attract more members.
By the way, the Reddit co-founder bought 50,000 ETH at 30 cents 9 years ago. So the company has a good intuition for successful projects.
