The legendary men’s magazine Playboy plans start the virtual world. The head of Web3 Playboy Elizabeth Suman said that the launch is planned to be completed before the end of 2023.
The MetaMansion will build on existing Playboy projects in the metaverse. Two years ago, the magazine released the first NFT collection, which consisted of archival photographs and works of art.
After that, Playboy released Rabbitar NFTs, and 11,953 NFTs went on sale. According to the OpenSea marketplace, at the time of writing, the total trading volume of the collection has reached 2,779 ETH for a total value of more than $4.5 million.
Even those users who do not own Rabbitar will have access to MetaMansion. But Suman said it’s impossible to access all the “cool places” without it.
The company does not provide any details regarding the opening of MetaMansion, but the Web3 executive confirmed that the plan is 2023.
