The press release states that the initiative will be launched in January 2023.
To create an NFT, users must drag images or videos into a browser window. The software will automatically convert the files and upload them to the blockchain using smart contracts.
“Now our users will be able to create NFTs instantly and easily, with no platform usage fees, motivating more people to explore the growing segment,” said Susie Butt, head of the Opera crypto ecosystem.
NFT holders will be able to transfer them to anyone or sell them on marketplaces. The generated tokens will end up in a crypto wallet supported by the browser. In September in Opera Crypto Browser integrated MetaMask, Trust Wallet and others.
