Crypto exchange OKX has begun using controversial psychological techniques in advertising. We see here hidden aggression against a competitor – Coinbase.
A couple of months ago, the American exchange Coinbase introduced the slogan “It’s time to upgrade the system.” Now OKX has released an advertisement “The system needs to be overwritten”.
Apocalypse style video
The gloomy one-minute video shows a situation saturated with chaos and panic. The heroine-girl confidently declares that this world can no longer be saved. And asks the question: “Why don’t we change everything?”. At the end, the exchange announces a new slogan – the system does not need to be updated, it needs to be rewritten. And the girl herself falls on the bed, holding the phone with the downloaded OKX application:
“Inflation, data leakage and censorship are symptoms of a broken system.
Sign in to Web3 – trustless, transparent, and permissionless. This makes economic freedom and financial inclusion affordable.”
OKX also claimed to be the second largest crypto trading platform and has attracted over 50 million customers worldwide. Binance remains in first place (100 million users).
Recently, OKX has released another report on reserves. There was an update of the zk-STARK certificate and 18 cryptocurrencies for PoR verification.
