“We see inscriptions as a powerful innovation that opens up new ways for creators and collectors to create and own truly timeless and dynamic items,” said OKX Chief Innovation Officer Jason Lau.
According to the press release, the exchange's inscription tool supports 23 networks, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Polygon, BNB Chain, Avalanche-C, Arbitrum One and others.
The standards mentioned above will soon be added to the platform's Web3 wallet, and DRC-20, ARC-20 and Runes will appear on the marketplace.
The company believes that the integration will make OKX the largest trading platform for “inscriptions” with zero commission.
In a comment for The Block Lau confirmed that the inscriptions “really resonated with many Asian users” of the exchange. The sector was expanding rapidly, prompting OKX to dive into it, the manager added.
“We've seen an explosion of new activity and the market and customer base continues to grow… when we launched our product, hundreds of people were using it, and now it's over 100,000,” Lau said.
Regarding the choice for the new integration of Atomicals, Stamps, Runes and Doginals, he noted that “these protocols are launching and gaining momentum.”
Let us recall that in December, against the backdrop of the launch of the Ordinals analogue, the monthly transaction volume on the zkSync Era L2 network exceeded that of Ethereum.
