Mt.Gox lenders received notification from the trustee of the exchange (Nobuyaki Kobayashi) to change the deadline for filing applications for compensation.
As a reminder, in October 2022, affected creditors suggested create compensation applications through a special online system until January 10, 2023. According to the latest document, the new date is March 10th.
Users were encouraged to submit recipient information and select a payout method, otherwise they would not be able to receive the funds. It is possible that some of these lenders will have to bring the required documents to Mt.Gox’s head office or trustee’s designated location in order to receive yen payments.
Important! Those who have already applied do not need to go through the procedure again. This category was asked to refrain from making any changes.
The trustee also postponed the terms of the main, intermediate and early lump-sum repayment – from July 31 to September 30.
