- This will accelerate the scaling of the protocol ecosystem by attracting new developers
- They will have access to a toolkit for online deployment of nodes and RPC for interworking
Today, June 26, the Near Foundation announced a strategic partnership with Alibaba Cloud, a division of the tech giant of the same name. The agreement is intended to promote the development of Web3 in Asia, as well as to accelerate the scaling of the protocol’s ecosystem.
Portal informs about the partnership CoinDesk with reference to the organization. The agreement will attract more developers to the Near network. In addition, they will be able to run blockchain nodes through Alibaba Cloud’s plug-and-play infrastructure.
Users will also be provided with a remote procedure call (RPC) service. It is a mechanism that allows programs and applications to carry out certain functions in a different address space. In this case, it is necessary for interconnection.
The Blockchain Operating System (BOS) from Near will be used to coordinate actions between users. The protocol released this platform in March of this year. We discussed it in detail in a separate article.
Interestingly, before that we reported that Joseph Tsai became the Chairman of the Board of the Alibaba Group. He is a well-known proponent of cryptocurrencies and blockchain. It is possible that the new partnership is connected primarily with this.
