  • This was told by Deputy Minister Alexander Bornyakov
  • And also declassified the amount of donations from cryptoangels

Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Digital Development Alexander Bornyakov gave interview with Yahoo Finance UK. He summed up the year of Ukraine’s success on the blockchain front.

We wrote a lot about record donations to our country from crypto angels. They allowed us to survive in the first most difficult days when the banking system did not work. Digital money helps today to keep the front and buy the right things for our heroes. You can read more in our article “How Crypto Helps Ukraine Win the War.”

It turns out that Ukraine buys a lot of necessary things directly for digital money. They are accepted by about 60% of suppliers. According to Bornyakov, these are mainly helmets, optics and bulletproof vests. He added that donations vary from one dollar to millions.

“We were able to ensure the purchase of vital goods with the help of cryptocurrency in the shortest possible time. It’s amazing that about 60% of the suppliers were able to accept cryptocurrency, I didn’t expect this.”

Recall that Ukraine has launched a special state crypto fund Aid For Ukraine. Also, many volunteer organizations collect crypto donations, including the legendary Prytula Foundation.
