“If you’re going to spend $50 million to get customers to your site, why not give them that $50 million and cut out the middleman?” founder Michael Saylor said.
Lighting Rewards is a bonus program service that pays out rewards in sat for various actions. The new development is available for integration with most corporate applications.
According to MicroStrategy, the platform “provides unlimited scalability and the highest level of security through an open, extensible microservices architecture.”
Companies will be able to customize Lighting Rewards at their discretion, adjusting the amount of rewards and the list of actions to receive them. The service also has built-in analytical software that provides information on the effectiveness of selected PR strategies.
The initiative will also allow email to be automatically turned into an LN address. Earlier, Sailor personally converted his e-mail into a micropayment network wallet.
Recall that in May MicroStrategy reported a profit of $461.2 million for the first quarter of 2023. During the reporting period, the company increased its digital gold position by 7,500 BTC to 140,000 BTC.
