According to media reports, an unknown person approached the 24-year-old Tomsk resident near the entrance and, threatening with a pistol, demanded to transfer bitcoins to his cryptocurrency wallet. The victim sent 85 BTC out of the 90 coins he had.
After that, Tomsk was brought into his apartment and tied to the bed. Until the evening a stranger was with him. When he left, things worth 400,000 rubles, including cash in rubles and dollars, disappeared from the apartment.
The value of the stolen bitcoins at the time of the theft was estimated at 350.6 million rubles.
Police later detained the suspect, who turned out to be a 36-year-old local resident. The victim was reimbursed 36 million rubles from the stolen amount.
Recall that at the end of October, a suspect in the abduction of the owner of cryptocurrencies and theft of $ 2.5 million was detained in Ukraine.
