- It will allow sports fans to explore the benefits of Web3 technologies in a playful manner.
- The Maincard.io team has prepared a prize pool of up to 50,000 TON for testnet participants.
Sports fantasy manager Maincard.io announced the launch of a rewarded testnet on the Telegram Open Network (TON) blockchain. The project team called this a significant step towards bringing blockchain to the masses, allowing sports fans around the world to explore the benefits of Web3 technologies in a playful manner.
Blockchain from Maincard.io and TON
At the end of 2023, Maincard.io completed testing the platform on the Polygon blockchain. The result of this was the introduction of transactions without paying commissions, a tournament mode and other game mechanics. The project is now fully operational on the Polygon mainnet.
Now Maincard.io is taking another step to make Web3 technologies more accessible and understandable to a wide audience, project representatives noted. They emphasized that this fully coincides with the goals of TON.
Thanks to the recent emergence of TON Space, a non-custodial wallet integrated into Telegram, the blockchain ecosystem has become even more convenient for users, according to Maincard.io.
With 800 million monthly users, TON aims to attract 30% of Telegram's active visitors over the next three years, project representatives say. If the goal is achieved, this will be several times greater than the total audience of Web3 users in the crypto industry, Maincard.io says. In their opinion, this development will be a real breakthrough in the mass adoption of Web3.
Sharing this vision, Maincard.io launched a new testnet. It is aimed at developing cooperation with TON, as well as exploring potential benefits for Maincard and the entire Telegram audience.
“TON creates excellent conditions for the mass implementation of blockchain. We are pleased to be at the forefront of fantasy games in their ecosystem and have all the necessary resources to become a catalyst for the transition of users to the TON network,” said Valery Makovetsky, founder and CEO of Maincard.io.
Testnet process and rewards for players
Representatives of the project said that they intend to thank early users for their help in developing the game. For this purpose, Maincard.io has created a prize fund of up to 50,000 TON for testnet participants.
Maincard bot is already available in the Telegram application, allowing you to predict the outcome of real sporting events. The testnet will first focus on the Battles mode, followed by the Calls and Tournaments game formats.
The Maincard.io team has prepared a guide for users on how to join the testnet, available at this link.
The prize fund will be distributed among the most active users, who will:
- make fantasy predictions and test other game mechanics;
- refer friends using a referral link;
- stay active on the project’s social networks (Telegram, Twitter, Discord).
Useful social activity will be taken into account in the final calculation of rewards.
The Maincard team also launched daily quests and announced a collaboration with Notcoin to attract an audience of Telegram users.
Representatives of the project emphasize that a distinctive feature of the testnet is the ability to choose a reward for participation. At the end of testing, users who meet the criteria for receiving rewards will be offered to receive them immediately in TON tokens or MCN tokens before listing.
MCN: Maincard.io native token
Maincoin (MCN) is a native token designed to power the Maincard.io platform. Users already receive rewards in the form of MCN for correct predictions of real and virtual sporting events. They can also use tokens on the platform to participate in tournaments, repair cards, and trade on the marketplace.
According to the project team, they plan to list the asset on major cryptocurrency exchanges in 2024.
Representatives of Maincard.io note that many Web3 projects attract funding through the sale of tokens. This significantly affects their value after listing, the company claims.
Maincard.io is funded by the team, and tokens are distributed only to early users, the project emphasized. In their opinion, this creates a stable basis for development. Maincard.io also has a ready-made product that players use, which gives the MCN token an applied nature, company representatives said.
