- Eccentric billionaire to focus on AI chatbots
- It seems that he is no longer interested in cryptocurrencies
Billionaire Elon Musk said that now he is more inspired not by cryptocurrencies, but by artificial intelligence (AI).
“I used to do cryptography, but now I’m interested in artificial intelligence” — wrote the owner of Tesla, SpaceX and Twitter.
The post went off like a bomb, given that Musk has never hidden his interest in blockchain. He admired the freedom that cryptocurrencies give, and considered bitcoin one of the best ways to save money.
In response, the Binance account asks why Elon does not want to leave both hobbies.
Tesla bought $1.5 billion worth of BTC in 2021. But last year they shocked everyone by selling 75% of their bitcoin holdings. True, Tesla stopped at this in its sales. They continue to hold the rest of the coins. At the end of 2022, the company recorded a loss in BTC of $140 million.
Musk valued more than just bitcoin. He showed his sympathy for Dogecoin (DOGE) meme-tokens, and often pumped this shitcoin with his tweets.
However, it looks like the billionaire has a new passion: artificial intelligence. The other day, journalists found out that Musk is in talks to develop his own chat bot. He wants to hire Igor Babushkin, who previously headed the AI division of Alphabet (Google).
