What is bitcoin and how does it work in simple terms

The Liechtenstein government will allow citizens to use bitcoin to pay for public services. About this in a conversation with Handelsblatt said Prime Minister Daniel Risch.

“The ability to pay with bitcoin will soon appear,” he said, without naming a specific time frame.

According to the Prime Minister, the government will accept cryptocurrency from citizens and exchange it for the national currency. The publication noted that some Swiss municipalities, in particular, the canton of Zug, use a similar approach.

Rish also did not rule out that the state could invest part of its reserves in bitcoin.

Liechtenstein is a cryptocurrency-friendly jurisdiction. In 2019, the country’s parliament passed the Liechtenstein Blockchain Act, which created a regulated environment for digital asset service providers.
