Moneybox has raised £35M (~$45.8M) in Series D funding to expand operations and launch crypto services.
In an interview AltFi Moneybox co-founder Ben Stanway said the company plans to grow its customer base, increase its ETF offering, and introduce services for investing in digital assets.
“We plan to expand [в криптовалюты] through the lens of portfolio diversification, not speculation,” he said.
Now this is just the start of the project. Initially, they will introduce the possibility of investing in bitcoin and, probably, in “one or a couple” of tokens, Stanway specified.
In terms of diversification, he gave the example of owning a “couple of percent” in cryptocurrencies from a total portfolio.
The investors in the round were the venture arm of Fidelity Investments, together with Polar Capital and a number of former investors.
So far, Moneybox has approached £3bn in assets under management from 800,000 customers. Stanwaya says the firm will hit those milestones “in the next couple of weeks.”
