The inter-factional association of deputies Blockchain4Ukraine together with the public union “Virtual Assets of Ukraine” sent letters to the heads of EU institutional bodies with a request to include Ukraine in the number of full members of the European Blockchain Partnership (EBP).
Addressees include European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, European Commission Presidential Chief of Staff Bjorn Siebert and European Commission Digital Policy Adviser Anthony Whelan.
Blockchain technology can greatly contribute to the recovery of Ukraine after the end of the war with Russia through the provision of cross-border public services.
“EBP will accelerate this recovery, as well as support the further integration of Ukraine and the EU,” says the initiative group.
Recall that earlier the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed Law on Virtual Assets indicates “the readiness of the country to become a European blockchain leader.”
