
The Horizen Privacy-Oriented Blockchain Team announced The mainnet hard fork date is June 7th.
The update will take place on block #1 363 115 at approximately 16:00 (Kyiv/Moscow time). On March 13, the hard fork was successfully activated in the testnet of the project.
The developers have added that the Zend 3.3.1 node router will no longer be supported from May 31st. Its fourth version will be available until September 19th.
The update will bring improvements to Horizen’s sidechain technology and fix minor bugs found in the protocol. Tools for developers on different operating systems will also be improved.
Horizen is a blockchain ecosystem that uses zero-knowledge proof technology. The project is focused on creating sidechains with customizable functionality, for example, exclusively for DeFi protocols.
According to CoinGecko, the naive token of the ZEN project has grown by 6.7% over the past week. At the time of writing, the asset is trading at $8.60.

Earlier, Grayscale Investments experts admitted that the Horizen token, along with Zcash (ZEC) and Stellar (XLM), can be classified as a security.
