The strategic alliance aims to accelerate the adoption of “Polygon’s key protocols” into enterprise infrastructure and tools, as well as “increase bandwidth” for gaming, supply chain and DeFi use cases.
“Google Cloud infrastructure will help scale technology faster to keep transactions fast and fees low as demand grows,” said Brendan Farmer, co-founder of Polygon Labs, in an interview with The Block.
The integration will also simplify and speed up the Polygon Supernets deployment process, he said.
Support is also provided for zkEVM, a zero-knowledge proof-based Ethereum scaling solution.
Polygon developers are convinced that interaction with the Blockchain Node Engine from Google Cloud will simplify the creation, launch and development of decentralized applications. In addition, the tech giant’s startup development program “should fuel a new wave of Web3 innovation.”

The Blockchain Node Engine has been supporting Ethereum since last fall. Work is underway to integrate Solana.
Previously, Google Cloud and Celo Foundation agreed to cooperate to support Web3 startups.
