- To do this, the firm collaborated with Fingerprints DAO.
- The collection is called “Machine”
- It consists of 1000 Ethereum-based NFTs
- Bidding will open at the Dutch auction on June 7
Web-3 division of Germany’s largest car manufacturer, Mercedes Benz Web3 Arm, will release NFT collection in collaboration with the Digital Art Community Fingerprints DAO. Maschine was created by Dutch artist Harm van den Dorpel, who draws inspiration from automotive concepts.
The collection features 1,000 unique Ethereum-based NFTs. It strikes with the themes of speed and perception as it mimics a wheel in motion. The opportunity to purchase NFTs will open at the Dutch auction on June 7th.
On its Twitter, the company announced that it plans to release three main collections planned, designed and managed by creative studio 0xNXT. The firm described each of them:
“Our second core collection will be exclusive to a select few of Mercedes-Benz’ top customers. Each of the 1,886 collectibles will be minted by IRL at events for major clients.
For our third major collection, we will embark on a journey through the Mercedes-Benz design heritage. These digital collectibles created by the design team will create a link between past, present and future.”
Van den Dorpel said that Mercedes-Benz’s emphasis on innovation and aesthetics stems from its practice of creating generative art.
“I am honored to be invited and trusted to create a truly generative experimental work of art. Thanks to the technical possibilities that blockchain provides, we have been able to capture the fluid nature of digital art in all its manifestations, in terms of ownership, origin and preservation.”
