Elon Musk supported the European Union regarding the Digital Services Act (DSA). The businessman announced this in a video posted by EU Commissioner for the Internal Market Thierry Breton.

“I think this is exactly in line with the future goals of the Twitter platform,” Musk said.
According to him, the initiatives proposed in the DSA “will be useful for Europe.”
“I really think I agree with everything you’ve said […]. We are on the same wavelength,” added the billionaire.
Musk’s vision for the future of the social network largely converges with the bill. Earlier, the businessman offered to open source the content recommendation algorithms on Twitter. A similar requirement for transparency is contained in the bill.
However, data privacy experts believe that such a move will not solve Twitter’s problems.
Recall that in April the European Union reached an agreement on the adoption of a law aimed at increasing the responsibility of tech giants in matters of recommender algorithms and targeted advertising.
In the same month, Twitter management decided to sell the social network to Elon Musk for $44 billion.
