President of Salvador Nayib Bukele expressed confidence that in 2022 the price of the first cryptocurrency will rise to $ 100,000.

Bukele also suggested that:
Among other things, the President of El Salvador promised a “big surprise” at the Bitcoin 2022 conference. Event will take place from 6 to 9 April in Miami. In addition to Bukele, it will be attended by:
- head of MicroStrategy Michael Saylor;
- the modern representative of the Austrian economic school Seyfedin Ammus;
- Blockstream CEO Adam Back;
- Lightning Labs founder Elizabeth Stark and other well-known representatives of the cryptoindustry.
After the legalization of bitcoin in September, the El Salvadorian government acquired 550 BTC through a specially created fund. Next, I bought 150 BTC with a drawdown of up to $ 45,000.
In October, the authorities increased reserves in the first cryptocurrency by another 420 BTC, again taking advantage of the local rate correction. In November, the state fund acquired 100 BTC.
El Salvador has also started mining cryptocurrency using geothermal volcanic energy. The first accrued awards were published by Bukele on October 1.
Some experts have questioned the cost-effectiveness of mining with volcanic energy.
Recall that the government of El Salvador recently acquired 21 BTC to celebrate “the last 21 days of the 21st year of the 21st century.”
