We have a new week ahead of us, which means that it is time to find out what events in the world of cryptocurrencies are planned for the coming days. Recall that in this article you will find the announcement of the most important and interesting events on the digital asset market, including meetups, token unlocks, updates and releases.
May 15. Lido Finance upgrade to V2, GALA v2.0 release, planned eCash upgrade and launch of two new NFT collections on the Blend platform
Today is expected will come out in Lido V2 release. The update is aimed at improving the architecture of the staking router. Additionally, with this upgrade, stETH holders will be able to unlock and withdraw their funds. Read more in our material at the link.
Also on this day will come out “new and improved token” Gala Games under ticket $GALA(v2). The upgrade brings several important benefits, including the potential for further scaling. All holders of “old” tokens will receive new ones in a ratio of 1:1.
Back on Monday, May 15, will come out scheduled update for eCash. The beginning is at 15:00 (Kyiv time). About an hour after that, the network will be unavailable. Validators need to update to the new version 0.27.x.
And finally today expected the launch of two new collections on the Blend platform by Blur. What exactly is being discussed is still unknown. One of the projects will probably be Memeland, although this is not certain.
16th of May. Update Secret Network to v1.9
The Secret Network client update is scheduled for Tuesday. The beginning is at 17:00 (Kyiv time). A complete list of changes and additions can be found at link.
May 17th. Hedera mainnet update to v0.37 and rebranding of GPT token
Wednesday, around 20:00 (Kyiv time) starts Hedera main network upgrade to v0.37. The update will take about an hour, during which time the client may fail. The upgrade is planned and does not carry major changes.
Also on this day, it is expected will pass rebranding of the ChatGPT (GPT) token to LayerAI (LAI). Please note that before that, on May 16, from 15:00 (Kyiv time), asset trading will be suspended. It will resume after the transition completes.
May 18 Hedera testnet update to v0.38 and CYBER token sale on Coinlist
Thursday, at 20:00 (Kyiv time) starts Hedera testnet upgrade to v0.38. Again, the network will work intermittently for about an hour. Like the previous one, this update is planned.
Also on Thursday, the CYBER token is expected will be available for public sale on CoinList. Recall that earlier we covered the project, and also published a guide on how you can get “coins”. Details at the link.
May 19. Meetup Stratis in London
On Friday will take place meeting of members of the Stratis community. The meetup is dedicated to GameFi, NFT, Metaverse and blockchain development prospects. The event will take place at Tower Suites by Blue Orchid Hotels.
May 20. Last day of Gitcoin Mint Impact NFT
In mid-April, Gitcoin submitted an “impact report”. It collects information about what actions the project team has taken in order to achieve the set mission. In honor of this event, the organization launched mint commemorative NFTs on Zora. Saturday, May 20th is the last day to issue this token.
