- Changpeng Zhao and Justin Sun donated their share
- The community supports his fight in a legal case with a crypto scammer
Renowned blockchain detective ZachXBT has raised over $1 million in donations from sympathizers around the world. The community supported him in a lawsuit with musician Geoffrey Huang (alias Machi Big Brother).
ZachXBT tweeted last Friday that the lawsuit had been filed. He asked all concerned to help with money for lawyers.
The essence of Machi Big Brother’s claims concerns last year’s investigation of a crypto detective. He accused the musician of stealing Ethereum for millions of dollars. The artist carried out his scheme through the fake Formosa Financial crypto platform.
“This is the classic story of David and Goliath. From what I understand, Machi is very rich. He’s using his money to try and silence me. I ask for your help so that this does not happen, and the truth wins.”
Crypto fans from all over the world responded to the call. Including well-known members of the industry. So, Champeng Zhao decided to send $50,000. He called on ZachXBT to fight and continue to protect integrity in the crypto sphere.
Representatives of Bitfinex, Bybit, Coinbase, Kraken, OKX, Uniswap and 1inch also made their donations. At the same time, ZachXBT promises to spend money only on fighting in this case. The remaining funds will be returned to sponsors.
