legal action Twitter has filed a lawsuit against Elon Musk over his refusal to buy the social network for $44 billion.
The social network team intends to force Musk to fulfill his obligations and complete the purchase. The document says that the entrepreneur “made a show” and behaved in bad faith:
Musk seems to think that he […] can change his mind, disrupt the company, destroy shareholder value and leave.”
Even before the lawsuit was officially filed, Twitter lawyers called termination of the transaction is illegal.
Now the social network’s lawsuit has been filed with the Delaware Court of Chancery asking for an expedited hearing.
We previously reported how Elon Musk offered to buy the company at $54.2 per share, but in May paused the purchase process after reports of overestimation of the audience of the social network.
