- Uniswap dApps support coming in the coming months
- Coinbase also plans to integrate other protocols
Cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase is working on integrating several protocols into its second layer blockchain called Base. In particular, among them are Aave and Uniswap.
The portal reports CoinDesk with reference to a source familiar with the situation. The exact timing of the completion of the transfer is not yet known. It is expected that dApps from the Uniswap ecosystem will be available to Base users within a few months.
As for Aave, in this case there is not even approximate information. Coinbase declined to comment on the situation and give a clear explanation.
Recall that the Base blockchain was launched at the end of February this year. It is registered in the USA and is aimed primarily at local users of the exchange.
Shortly after the launch, independent experts discovered a number of problems related to gas calculation and transaction processing. A few days later, debugging was completed, and the project went back to normal.
Base is based on the Optimism shell of the Ethereum ecosystem. In this regard, the calculation and payment of gas fees are carried out in ETH. The project was supposed to help simplify the development and access to dApps.
In fact, this is a kind of “bridge” between different applications. It should be noted that the audience accepted the project favorably. Base is still in pretty high demand almost a month after launch.
