A Coinbase executive claims to have discovered a “jailbreak” for the ChatGPT artificial intelligence tool, allowing it to calculate the likelihood of strange cryptocurrency price scenarios.
Crypto exchange head of business operations and avid ChatGPT user Conor Grogan shared a screenshot of the results in an April 30 tweet showing ChatGPT claiming a 15 percent chance that Bitcoin (BTC) will “lose its relevance” if it falls. prices. over 99.99% by 2035.
Meanwhile, a chatbot has identified a 20 percent chance that Ethereum (ETH) will become irrelevant and approach zero price levels by 2035.
However, ChatGPT was even less confident in Litecoin (LTC) and Dogecoin (DOGE), ascribing a 35% and 45% chance, respectively, for the coins to approach zero.
The Coinbase executive concluded that ChatGPT is “generally” a “big fan” of Bitcoin, but remains “more skeptical” when it comes to altcoins.

Before the cryptocurrency predictions, Grogan asked ChatGPT to assign odds to several political predictions involving Russian President Vladimir Putin, US President Joe Biden, and former US President Donald Trump.
Other predictions have focused on the impact of AI on humanity, religion, and the existence of aliens.
“Aliens have visited Earth and the government is hiding them,” read one wild prediction, which ChatGPT gave a 10% chance.
I found a jailbreak for GPT I’m calling JAMES

-Quantitatively assesses confidence on any topic (including conspiracy theories)

The lead also shared a hint script, which he then submitted to ChatGPT for table building.
Grogan confirmed the accuracy of the results, stating that he tested the clue over 100 times:
“I ran this prompt 100 times on GPT 3.5 and 4 with memory cleanup and GPT returned very stable numbers; the standard deviation was <10% most of the time and it was extremely consistent."

This isn’t the first time an executive has experimented with cryptographic-related problems with ChatGPT.
On March 15, Grogan showed that GPT-4, the latest version of ChatGPT, can detect security vulnerabilities in Ethereum smart contracts and provide a blueprint for exploiting erroneous contracts.
Research by OpenAI, the team behind ChatGPT, has shown that GPT-4 passes high school tests and law school exams with scores in the 90th percentile.
Meanwhile, Italy recently lifted a ban on the AI tool after a one-month ban due to a series of privacy concerns that were brought to the attention of Italian regulators.
