- It will allow you to easily add smart contracts to traditional WEB2 sites.
- And WEB3 projects connect to WEB2 services
- Project partners are Amazon, Meta and Google Cloud
Chainlink Company Launches a platform for introducing WEB3 into traditional WEB2 sites. It’s called Chainlink Functions and is already available in beta. The tool works on the Ethereum Sepolia and Polygon Mumbai testnets.
So, Chainlink Functions will allow developers to connect smart contracts to existing Web2 APIs. And also get access to social network signals, instant messengers, AI calculations and other data. This will take place over the highly secure Chainlink network. That is, as a result, programmers will create a “hybrid” of Web2 and Web3 without having to build a new resource.
AWS, Meta and Google Cloud became partners of the project. On their case studies, they will show how to “make friends” of traditional sites with Web3 technology.
Chainlink Functions will also be useful for Web3 developers. Through the API, they will integrate with external resources, and for this they will not need to launch their own infrastructure.
To connect to the beta version, you need to apply on the Chainlink website. In the future, they promise to add new useful tools.
Last summer, the brand launched the Chainlink VRF tool. It allows smart contracts to access number generators without sacrificing security or usability.
At the end of last year, Chainlink launched LINK token staking. But only for those who managed to get into the early list.
