- At the same time, some customers wait from several hours to a day or more.
- Celsius took over 8 months to start paying out
Yesterday, on March 2, Celsius notified clients about unfreezing the withdrawal of some deposits from accounts in the custodial program. At the same time, not all clients of the platform will be able to return their funds.
Relevant Notice appeared on the official Celsius Twitter page. You can also find there link to the FAQ and recommendations to simplify the withdrawal of funds.
It should be noted that clients of the Celsius custody program could not return their money for more than 8 months. The company filed for bankruptcy last July.
In September, two months later, the platform announced that it was “trying” to unfreeze assets in custodial accounts. And only in December, the court ordered the company to transfer $44 million to Celsius Custody customers.
In early February, the platform sent a letter to customers, in which they outlined who and when will be able to withdraw funds. A few days ago, users received a notification about the start of payments.
At the same time, some users from the “white list” received the transfer in a few minutes. Others still cannot withdraw the deposit. Requests are accumulated and gradually redirected to the support service.
On the Reddit portal, one of the users, with the nickname “SR-71”, stated that he was given a period of several days to pay off the application. Celsius has yet to comment on the situation.
Remember, only US residents can receive their funds. In this case, we are talking about compensation of 94% of the deposited capital. The chances of the other 6% are pretty low.
