Tomorrow, June 29, the Bali Major 2023 Dota 2 tournament starts in Singapore. The event is expected to bring together more than 1,500 guests, including esportsmen and sponsors. This week, the Bitget exchange announced that it will become the official cryptocurrency partner of the competition.
Bali Major 2023 promises to be a landmark event for the Dota 2 player community. The event will take place at the prestigious five-star Ayana Estate Hotel.
18 teams will take part in the tournament, including Team Spirit, Team Liquid, 9Pandas and Evil Geniuses. The playoff stage will take place from 5 to 9 July. The prize fund of the competition is $500 thousand.
This is Bitget’s fourth esports contract. Prior to this, the exchange worked closely with the tournament organizer PGL. In particular, the company has been an official partner of such events as PGL Major Stockholm 2021, PGL Major Antwerp 2022 and PGL DOTA 2 Major Arlington 2022.
“We are very happy to partner with DOTA 2 Bali Major as an official sponsor. This partnership allows Bitget to bring together the worlds of cryptocurrency and esports, two technologies shaping the future of the Web3 industry. By supporting prestigious esports events, we expand the opportunities for more people to use cryptocurrencies – the future of finance. We look forward to the tournament and showcasing the potential of cryptocurrencies in the gaming industry.” — Gracie Chen, managing director of Bitget.
Bitget’s goal of reaching out to the Web3 sector is not limited to esports. The exchange also cooperates with the Juventus football club and Lionel Messi. Speaking of which, earlier the company touchingly congratulated the athlete on his birthday.
