- This is an LD4 series ASIC
- Its energy efficiency is 0.73 W/MH
- And the maximum performance is 5GH/s
Mining giant BIT Mining introduced a new version of equipment for mining Dogecoin and Litecoin. It’s called LD4.
BIT Mining has previously launched several LD3 series ASIC mining rigs designed specifically for the DOGE and LTC blockchains. “Fresh” models have a higher hash rate and energy efficiency. So, LD4 has an efficiency of 0.73 W / MH (the previous one had 0.71 W / MH). In addition, LD4 can achieve a maximum output of 5GH/s (LD3 model only has 4800 MH/s).
The equipment is being developed by Bee Computing, which was acquired by BIT Mining last year.
The LD4 model has gone through several stages of testing and has proven its superiority over previous versions. Now they are running the hardware at their core facilities.
Here is how CEO Xianfeng Yang comments on the news:
“With each new model of mining machine that BTCM develops, we further hone our professionalism. We gain additional experience in the production of products that help to contribute to the main blockchain networks. The new model of the LD4 mining machine is now unmatched in our industry.”
Recall that yesterday Block presented a prototype of nanochips for BTC mining. Their development promises to make bitcoin mining “accessible to the general public.”
