Cryptocurrency exchange Binance and Austral Campus Pilar University in Argentina have partnered to launch the first blockchain education program in the country. This is reported Forbes Argentina.
The five-month training will introduce students and teachers to blockchain, decentralization, the Web3 segment, metaverses, and digital asset trading.
“We recognize the importance and potential of coordinated work between industry and education to connect our graduates to the business world and provide innovative solutions to today’s problems,” said Luis Dambra, Dean of the University’s Faculty of Business Sciences.
Binance South America Representative Maximiliano Hinz noted that the company considers offering affordable education to society a necessity for the development of the blockchain industry and Web3 technologies.
“Latin America has great potential as an international cryptocurrency hub and we are excited to be able to contribute to this,” he added.
Recall that in April, Binance announced plans to expand its services in inflation-hit Argentina. The platform will allow you to buy and sell digital assets directly with local pesos.
In May, the Central Bank of Argentina developed new guidelines related to cryptocurrencies. The document was created after the recommendations of the International Monetary Fund to limit the use of digital assets in the country.
