Binance Pay partners with CityPay in Georgia

  • Binance Announces Agreement with Major Payment Operator in Georgia
  • Its customers will be able to pay for services and purchases with cryptocurrency through Binance Pay.
  • Among the partners of the Wendy’s fast food project

Today, February 28, Binance announced a partnership agreement with CityPay.io. Under this agreement, the latter’s customers in Georgia will be able to pay with cryptocurrencies at hotels, restaurants and retail outlets.

The corresponding announcement was published on the official page of the exchange on Twitter. Thanks to this agreement, CityPay terminals will start accepting cryptocurrency. Moreover, there are about 600 such points in the country.

In particular, it will be possible to pay with “crypto” in the Wendy’s fast food chain. It is enough to place an order, scan the QR code and confirm the transaction.

In addition to this cafe, such an opportunity will also appear in “hotels, restaurants and supermarkets.” Note that CityPay.io audience coverage is about 400 thousand people.

Among others, Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao commented on the announcement:

“Buy french fries with cryptocurrency.”

We previously reported that Binance Pay support has been added to the ANC pharmacy network in Ukraine. And at the end of last year, the payment service entered the American market.
