In honor of the fifth anniversary of Binance, the team decided to publish statistics for the entire period since its founding. During this time, the Binance user base has grown to 120 million people, and the BNB Chain network maintained by the company has processed over 2.4 billion transactions since 2020.
Also the head of the cryptocurrency exchange Changpeng Zhao toldthat during this period the platform “exceeded his wildest expectations.”
The staff has increased more than 200 times in 5 years, and BNB Chain now has over 1,200 projects. He shared other indicators of the ecosystem:
- Binance has issued over 1.7 million crypto cards in the European region. The volume of plastic payments exceeded $2 billion;
- about 17 million transactions with a total volume of $12 billion were carried out through the Binance Pay payment system;
- the number of weekly users of the Binance NFT marketplace reached 600,000. The volume of transactions within the IGO was $1 billion;
- From January to June 2022, the number of active users of Binance Earn increased from 3.7 million to 4.9 million.
In addition to the main work, the company is engaged in charity. During this time, they have collected more than 2.88 million BTC (~$52.24 billion). 1.8 million people became beneficiaries of the relevant programs.
Changpeng Zhao also said that for the next five years, the exchange aims to focus on the creation and development of products that “bring tangible benefits to people.” To do this, the company will cooperate with regulators and help other industry players.
